Internal Quality Audit 
The QAAAU is responsible for the executive function of all aspects of academic and corporate quality enhancement and assurance processes. This includes the development of policies and processes, organizing, managing, controlling and monitoring their implementation and providing training to ensure continuous improvement.
The QAAAU reports directly to the Dean and is responsible for ensuring:
- The setting, management and review of corporate and academic standards and quality management and enhancement processes, and the development of policy in relation to such processes,
- Annual review and development of the NCAT Quality Policy,
- Annual review and development of NCAT's Self-Assessment Review (SAR) methodology for academic and corporate quality reviews of all departments of NCAT,
- Review and develop NCAT's processes for Annual Monitoring by academic and corporate departments through receipt of annual summary reports,
- Maintain an overview of the implementation of the course monitoring system,
- Liaise with external agencies including Ministries, the OAAAQA, Affiliated Organizations, Accreditation and Examination bodies,
- Maintain an Overview and organization of External Examiners and Verifiers including center visits and the receipt, scrutiny and distribution of reports and the development and implementation of any subsequent action plans,
- Co-ordinate NCAT's preparations for Institutional Audit by OAAAQA including the provision of information, advice and training for academic and administrative staff involved in such preparations,
- Co-ordinate, in consultation with academic departments, the preparations for any programme level reviews of NCAT teaching and learning provision by external agencies,
- Co-ordinate the development and monitor the implementation of NCAT processes relating to the Ministry of Higher Education’s Framework for Higher Education Qualifications and Programme Specifications,
- Co-ordinate the development and monitor the implementation of NCAT processes in relation to external affiliation / accreditation / examination bodies,
- Organize staff and learners’ satisfaction surveys, providing reports and any subsequent action plans,
- Chair the Quality Enhancement Sub-Committee reporting to the Academic Committee and any other body as requested,
- Identify and organize staff development plans to support the operation and implementation of the quality enhancement system.
